Coinbase Institutional strategist John D’Agostino says on-chain finance could open investments to non-accredited retail investors, ease borrowing and cut transaction and financing costs. He cautions that being on-chain alone does not make an investment good.
D’Agostino said the shift would take time as consumers become more comfortable working on-chain. He said lenders feel more comfortable with collateral when assets are fungible and on-chain, and that investment access could extend beyond accredited investors and qualified purchasers.
