Henry Cejudo and Javon Walton are scheduled to meet at 147 pounds in the Misfits Boxing main event Sept. 26 at Miami’s James L. Knight Center. The five-fight card airs on DAZN from 6 p.m. ET; tickets start at $34.25.
The other four bouts are Fox Townley vs. Justin Ibarrola at 135 pounds for the Misfits lightweight title; Tony Ferguson, listed as champion, vs. Mahmoud Sebie at 175 pounds for the middleweight title; Dawson Myles Barrett vs. Louis Russell at 175 pounds; and Chad Lebaron vs. Nathan Barnatt at 168 pounds. The five-fight length has drawn complaints on social media.
DAZN host Lauren Blake Boultier told Brobible that Cejudo, a UFC champion, is making his professional boxing debut. She described Walton as a younger professional boxer and an actor in “Euphoria,” and said his boxing experience is underestimated because of his acting career.
