In Fightland’s Season 1 finale, Cece shoots and kills her father, crime boss Kingsley Marshall, after her brother Zeek holds him at gunpoint. The siblings flee; Anita-Joy Uwajeh says Cece may feel remorse, while Charles Babalola describes Zeek’s anger and relief.
Duke Kilroy arrives at the gym armed and intending to kill Kingsley, but learns from Kingsley’s dying words that Zeek—not Kingsley—set him up in Las Vegas in an attack that killed Duke’s brother. Duke then confronts Zeek at a boxing arena during a high-profile match.
Cece gives the gun to a corrupt cop on the Marshalls’ payroll and tells him to frame her stepmother, Joy. Joy is arrested and may give evidence against the Marshalls to undercover cop Kim Harper in an effort to get the charges against her dropped.
