Southland football standouts included Garfield’s Ceasar Reyes (304 rushing yards, four TDs) and St. Monica’s Bradley Cassier (324 passing yards, six TDs). El Modena beat Trabuco Hills on Alejandro Teran Martinez’s 32-yard field goal with five seconds left.
Other rushers included Hart’s Matix Frithsmith (211 yards, four TDs), Cleveland’s Moyo Odebunmi (205 yards, two TDs), Servite’s Jorden Wells (145 yards, two TDs), Sierra Canyon’s Jaxsen Stokes (121 yards, three TDs) and El Modena’s Nathan De La Vega (103 yards, one TD). Colton’s Koa Regalado threw for 282 yards and five TDs; Villa Park’s Jacob Titchenal completed all 11 passes for 184 yards and three TDs, while Sierra Canyon’s Demarco Hernandez had 301 yards and three TDs through the air. Sherman Oaks Notre Dame’s Tahj Skinner threw three TDs.
St. Monica’s Kailan Booker caught four TD passes; Oxnard Pacifica’s Will Jones Jr. had 10 catches for 105 yards, one TD. Defensively, Oxnard Pacifica’s Isaiah Phelps made 21 tackles and Max Eldridge returned an interception for a TD and blocked a punt; Harvard-Westlake’s AJ Spain had two sacks; Inglewood’s Elija Harmon had five tackles for loss; West Torrance’s Chase Logue made two interceptions and caught two TDs; South Gate’s Thomas Gutierrez had an interception and scored twice; Bell’s Charles Pittman had two interceptions, one a 100-yard TD return. Huntington Beach Edison’s Jalen Cole blocked a punt, setting up a TD.
