The Daily Mississippian reported that the two University of Mississippi students found dead this week were Aidan Hamilton, 18, and Robert Strang, 20. One was found at Stewart Hall Monday and the other at an off-campus residence; the causes remain under investigation.
The university has not publicly identified them. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Shawnboda Mead said the coroner's office confirmed two student deaths and University Police were not aware of any additional student deaths. Police remained in contact with local and state law enforcement, and Mead urged people not to speculate on unverified information.
