Arizona coach Brent Brennan credited his team's response after it fell behind 14-0 in Saturday's 34-24 win at Washington State. He highlighted 93 rushing yards in the fourth quarter and Michael Salgado-Medina's 50-yard field goal after two misses.
Brennan said the first miss followed a low snap and he thought the second kick's trajectory was low. He said coaches Craig Naivar and Mike Nesbitt worked with Salgado-Medina before the 50-yard make, and reiterated his confidence in the kicker.
Brennan said two late-hit fouls were unnecessary and led to three Washington State points. He praised Noah Fifita's fourth-quarter third-down runs, Caleb “Jet” Smith's big plays and Tre Spivey's performance, and said Arizona would prepare for its next home conference game.
