Tyler Mahle is set to start for Atlanta against Cincinnati in the Braves’ final regular-season home game, with first pitch at 7:15 p.m. ET Thursday on Fox Sports 1. He has a 1.28 ERA in eight starts since joining Atlanta in early August.
Since the trade, Mahle has struck out 44 and walked seven over 49 innings, allowing four home runs. The article says this is his final tune-up before he is presumably set to pitch Game 2 of next week’s National League Wild Card Round.
Cincinnati plans to start Brady Singer, who has a 5.67 ERA and has allowed 31 home runs in 154 innings this season.
