Alex Steeves and Lukas Reichel were placed on waivers by Boston on Saturday; if they clear Sunday, both will report to Providence. Ty Gallagher was sent to the AHL club’s camp. The Bruins have 28 players left and must submit their 23-man roster by Monday at 5 p.m. ET.
Brendan Gaunce, Brian Halonen, Jordan Harris, Jiri Patera and Billy Sweezey had already cleared waivers and will also report to Providence. Players must be placed on waivers by Sunday at 2 p.m. ET to clear before the roster deadline. Boston opens Tuesday against the New York Rangers at 8 p.m.
Steeves finished 2025-26 with 16 points for Boston, while Reichel recorded three points in 10 regular-season games with the Bruins. Both dressed for two preseason games and neither scored.
