Fox News announced Sept. 22 that Billy Bush, formerly a host on Today and Extra, had joined as a contributor to offer cultural analysis across the network’s programming. He debuted Tuesday night on Jesse Watters Primetime.
Bush entered the political spotlight in 2016 after a 2005 Access Hollywood video featuring him and Donald Trump was leaked to The Washington Post; Trump is heard bragging about groping women. Bush was subsequently fired from Today.
On Tuesday’s Hot Mics episode, Bush criticized Trump and praised Fox News for suspending White House pool filming duties in solidarity with other networks after Trump barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the building. The ban was being challenged in court.
