Flores’ defense had blitzed on 75.9% of its plays through two games, the NFL’s highest rate, compared with Carolina’s 48.1%; Chicago’s 40.3% rate ranked sixth. Against the Bears, 15 different Vikings had at least one pass-rushing snap. The review says defenders dropping after showing rush threats helped disrupt Chicago’s blocking assignments.
The review splits blame for one sack between Williams and tackle Theo Benedet, assigns another to guard Jonah Jackson, and says Williams’ hamstring pull led to a zero-yard sack. It charges tight end Colston Loveland with the final nine-yard loss; CHGO’s Marc Carmen said that was the play on which Bagent was concussed. Chicago had allowed six sacks through Week 2, matching its 2025 total.
