According to SPORT, Barcelona plan to sell Ronald Araujo and Marc-Andre ter Stegen in summer 2027 to maintain economic stability. Liverpool has a €55 million option to buy Araujo; ter Stegen’s exit would bring little income but ease Barcelona’s wage bill.
Araujo is on a season-long loan at Liverpool, where SPORT says he has made a strong start and the club is interested in a permanent deal. Ter Stegen is on loan at Ajax, and Barcelona are paying practically all his wages. SPORT says he has become a regular there and is back in Germany’s national-team setup, developments it says should raise his market value next summer.
Other possible exits include midfielder Marc Casado, who is on loan at Deportivo La Coruña and could leave permanently if he impresses. Full-backs Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde are also candidates. Kounde may feature more while Andreas Christensen is injured, while SPORT says Balde appears to have lost his place under Hansi Flick.
