Bali police say Australian Damien John Shaw killed his children, Laura, 4, and Archie, 6; they believe he then died by suicide. All three were found dead at a home in southern Bali on Sept. 13, and the children's mother watched CCTV footage showing Shaw chasing Laura.
A worker found the children after their mother, who was out of town, asked him to check on them. She grew concerned when her call with Shaw cut off and she heard Laura crying, then corrected the home's CCTV camera angle using her phone. Police said Archie was likely already dead in the footage and believed Laura was trying to flee after seeing him killed.
Separately, a friend told Perth Now that Shaw had been struggling mentally after losing $140,000 in a recent venture.
