Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business producer and mental health activist, died by suicide Saturday at 36, authorities said. She sued former Fox News anchor Ed Henry for sexual assault in 2020; her lawyer said an appeals court upheld Fox News’ removal from the suit.
Eckhart’s lawsuit alleged Fox News failed to act against Henry for harassing women. In March 2025, Judge Ronnie Abrams removed the network from the case, ruling the evidence could not support a finding that its managers knew or should have known about the alleged misconduct and failed to prevent it.
Eckhart filed her harassment complaint after Fox News fired her in 2020. The network fired Henry later that year following a sexual misconduct investigation.
