The Atlanta Braves activated reliever Robert Suarez on Wednesday after forearm tightness put him on the injured list in June. He was expected to pitch that day, with the team aiming to use him in appearances this week to prepare for the playoffs, less than a week away.
ESPN reported that Atlanta signed Suarez to a three-year, $45 million contract. The Braves optioned Owen Murphy to make room for Suarez on the roster.
