AST SpaceMobile reports $3.7 billion in liquidity after a $1.15 billion convertible-bond sale; launch of its 45 satellites is delayed until 2027. The Motley Fool estimates the funds could last 1½ to just over two years, likely enough to get them into orbit.
In the first half of 2026, AST SpaceMobile used roughly $145 million in operating activities and spent another $1 billion on capital investments. In 2025, it used about $1.6 billion for operating and investing activities combined, the lower spending basis for the longer estimate.
The company’s technology works with existing cellphones, and it has agreements with large cellphone providers to offer satellite service to their customers once its network is robust.
