Laver Cup co-creator Tony Godsick says Team World’s host cities have remained in the US and Canada because the event requires a suitable indoor arena, specific lighting and other logistical conditions; venue and sponsor constraints can make expansion prohibitively costly.
Host duties alternate between Team Europe and Team World; the 2026 edition is in London. Team World’s four previous host cities were Chicago, Boston, Vancouver and San Francisco, while Los Angeles is confirmed for 2027. Godsick said organizers hope to bring the event to Africa and South America.
