Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple has reportedly built prototypes of a screen-free, Whoop-style fitness tracker; if pursued, it is unlikely to arrive before 2028. Separately, Apple’s camera-equipped AI pendant project has been postponed.
Gurman also said Tim Cook and Eddy Cue are backing the tracker. He said it could have a fabric band with sensors for heart rate and other health metrics. The pendant could hang around the neck or attach to clothing and, if it works, could provide visual data for Siri. Apple did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.
