Bloomberg reports Apple is developing prototypes of a screenless wristband that could track activity, sleep, daily readiness and “health age.” Apple has explored the category for several months; if it moves ahead, the device likely won’t debut before 2028.
The reported prototype is a thin fabric band with a sensor-equipped computing module, developed with input from the team behind Apple’s Vision Pro headset. Bloomberg says Apple has begun adding Whoop-style heart-rate and readiness features, along with an estimate of biological age, to its latest Watch and revamped Health app. Whoop and Oura each have millions of users and multibillion-dollar valuations.
