Apple Card Savings raised its APY to 3.5% on Sept. 22, from 3.4%, partly reversing cuts in April and June. Existing accounts get the change automatically. A $1,000 balance held for a year would earn about $35 at 3.5%, versus $34 before, according to MacRumors.
Apple launched the account in April 2023 at 4.15% APY; the rate later reached 4.5% in January 2024. It dropped from 3.65% to 3.5% in April 2026, then to 3.4% in June, leaving the new 3.5% rate 0.65 percentage points below its launch level.
The APY is variable and may change at any time; account holders can see their current rate, balance and interest in Wallet. The account has no fees or minimum balance, though maximum balance limits apply; interest compounds daily and is credited monthly. Daily Cash from Apple Card purchases can be deposited automatically. Deposits are FDIC-insured by Goldman Sachs Bank USA within applicable limits, while Apple manages the Wallet experience.
