Starbucks plans to close 250 stores across the U.S. and Canada in the coming days; an unconfirmed app-based list identifies 64 California locations. Starbucks declined to confirm the list, which names no locations in San Francisco proper.
The suspected locations run from San Diego to Santa Rosa, with listings in Los Angeles, Sacramento and Fresno as well as Bay Area cities including Millbrae, San Jose and San Carlos.
A Starbucks superfan who uses the legal mononym Winter compiled the list from app listings showing stores closed in the coming days. SFGATE's spot-check found the same app status at California locations. Starbucks said coffeehouses that are closing will post customer notices this weekend.
