The Air Force selected 34 of 35 bidders for a small-business contract program to compete for construction and environmental projects in the U.S. The program is worth up to $3.5 billion through September 2034, and each selected company receives an initial $3,000.
The 34 selected companies are based in 17 states: Alaska, Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The Pentagon notice describes work involving environmental construction, demolition, restoration and remediation, along with supporting methods, technologies and activities.
