On CNN, New York Post columnist Lydia Moynihan said Biden and other presidents restricted media access. Abby Phillip asked if Biden revoked Post reporters’ White House passes during a debate over Trump’s ban; Moynihan cited event exclusions but did not say he had.
Trump announced on Sept. 18 that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be barred from the White House; the outlets said their reporters’ credentials were disabled. A judge ordered the ban reversed, and credentials were restored after a significant delay.
Afterward, CNN was replaced for Saturday’s scheduled White House television pool duties by LindellTV, owned by Trump ally Mike Lindell. Trump later questioned on Truth Social why the outlets should have access, calling them perpetrators of “fake news” and saying almost all coverage of him was negative.
